Nebraska State Senator Sues God
Veteran legislator and hell raiser Ernie Chambers is suing God. The suit accuses God of:
"...making and continuing to make terroristic threats of grave harm to innumerable persons, including constituents of Plaintiff who Plaintiff has the duty to represent." It says God has caused "fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes, pestilential plagues, ferocious famines, devastating droughts, genocidal wars, birth defects and the like.
Sen. Chambers accusation go on to include "...calamitous catastrophes resulting in the wide-spread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants including innocent babes, infants, children, the aged and infirm without mercy or distinction."
We're not sure how Senator Chambers plans on collecting damages should he win the suit. Maybe he will just have to wait for his reward in Heaven.

please let ernie do his job and while he's at it, can he sue for damages caused by the idealistic dreamt up notion og "god", that has gotten humans in so many wars against each other whose religious beliefs differ from each other, going back to the crusades, witch-hunts, crucifictions, gay-bashing and so much more!?!!! vanessa
This is old news, for me. While devoting time to God, I was informed in July, that this was going to happen. the message was posted on the website at:

God has taken care of this, as many people came to God's rally and have cried out, can we come and testify for you, God has answered and said he has taken care of the situation. A local defense attorney James Martin Davis has taken on the case. He is doing it because he feels in his heart that God wants him to take on this case. Anyone who knows Mr. Davis, knows of his religous background and knows he is a God fearing man.
Senetor Chambers, who filed the lawsuit said it was an example to show that anyone can file any type of a lawsuit against anyone anywhere, and we need better control over these things.
Others in the news industry, were trying hard not to fall on the floor at tv stations from laughter at one person who was sueing God for natural disasters!
In any event. The ball fall on God's court. The final court is not a court of appeals, but a court of Judgement.
If you filed a lawsuit against God, fo all the wrong reasons, and did it for publicity, because you are leaving the Government scene. And want to go out with a Bang, God is the only one who knows the real reason in your heart for doing anything.
You can fool the honest man and the Christian here, but the final court is in the presence of Almighty God. His son will judge everyone in the end.
God is a Loving Father, who chastizes those he loves. For so long now, man has spent too much time opposing God and his son.
We as humans do not fully understand the reason behind this.
We have children, we either punish or praise our own children. But a loving God, who praises or punishes his children, that is unheardof. Why is it so hard for you to understand this?
God allows wars to happen, because the country as a whole who believes in God is in the right.
Deuteronomy 7:7 For I did not choose you because you were the most numerous of all. I chose you because you were the least of all!
All of Gods followers are the least of all. We follow and Love, Praise and Glorify God. This is what we are to do. Why is it so hard for others to understand this?

GOD has done many great things for many, many people.
I can attest to a wonder that is impossible to many, and with living the life of a great act;
I know GOD can counter-complaint in any circumstance.
